What if I told you that you can feel and become much prettier than you are right now? Yes, your jaw will drop, and the question will pop: “How?” This article shows you how to become prettier.
1. You Decide What Pretty Is
We understand that society has its idea of pretty. And that is exactly why we want you to have yours. Take a walk to a mirror and look at yourself. What does pretty mean to you? Be honest.
Does it mean wider hips or prettier thighs, or a bigger butt?
Does it mean a brighter smile or better teeth?
What, my friend, does pretty mean to you?
2. Grow into Your Idea of Pretty
When you understand what pretty means to you, what is left is for you to grow into that idea of pretty. This means that if you think pretty to be wider hips, then it is time to hit the gym and work those hips.
If you think pretty is a brighter smile, then it is time to smile more.
I’ll be honest here. Look, you have to understand that even though you might have a perfect idea of pretty in your head, not everything about yourself can be changed.
You cannot wake up tomorrow and find that you have perfect black skin as a white woman. It just can’t happen—Vice versa.
So, what happens is: that you practice acceptance.
Being pretty is one thing. Feeling pretty is another. You will feel much prettier and eventually grow into being pretty when you accept stuff about your body that you can’t change.
And I mean accepting them willingly.
3. Take Care of Your Skin
You just have to take care of your skin! This is what everyone sees, not the idea of pretty you have. And, no, taking care of your skin goes further than just taking regular baths. That counts, but some other things count as well.
One of those is: don’t expose your skin to harshness. This is exactly where a lot of women miss it. Yes, they rub fancy oils and use skincare products. But too often, they expose their skin to the harshness of the sun and sometimes, the harshness of even skincare products!
Don’t be in the sun too long.
Try as much as you can not to bruise your skin so that it doesn’t scar.
Use recommended oils and creams. Oils that contain natural products are best. Your skin needs just enough Vitamin E.
4. Make Sure your Beddings are Always Clean
Your skin (and I mean your facial skin now) does not come in contact with anything as much as it comes in contact with your bedding. The average adult sleeps for at least 8 hours every 24 hours.
This means that your skin will be on your beddings for 24 hours every day.
What do you think is going to happen if your beddings are not clean? I’ll tell you: you will irritate your skin. This may cause scabs and/or make your skin itchy.
You don’t want that, so wash your bedding as often as possible.

5. Bath as Often as Possible
The rule of the thumb should be: not more than two baths every day. Some people may be able to take many more baths. If you are one, then go right ahead.
Take your bath as often as you feel grimy or sweaty.
Wash your face quite a lot too. Even if you don’t take your bath, at least wash your face.
Apply some lotion and always ensure your face stays hydrated.
6. Stay Hydrated
It is true what they say: your diet and water intake can impact how pretty you appear.
A study published in 2015 confirms that higher water inputs in one’s regular diet might positively impact normal skin physiology. Skin hydration has been linked to skin mechanics to justify the preservation of younger, healthier-looking skin.
Overall, water is good for you. It also helps your kidneys function properly and helps in the transportation of nutrients in your body. For your skin, it gives that glow.
Your skin is one area in your body that needs water. If you are dehydrated, then be sure it will show on your skin somehow—the skin will become flaky and rough.
In addition to water, you should pay attention to your diet. I’ll speak about this in detail soon.
7. Get Enough Sleep
Sleep deprivation can become so serious it starts to tell physically on you.
Have you ever been awake so long only to notice that you have eye bags? Sometimes, these eyebags may even have a deeper tone than the rest of your skin.
Sleeping less than required can even mess up your metabolism and make you gain or lose weight unduly. One way or the other, it will tell on you and make you feel much less pretty.
Studies show that not having an adequate sleep correlates with an increased risk of being overweight. As a rule, get at least 8 hours of sleep every day. At most? Well, you choose.

9. Some Makeup
A lot of ladies do not know their way around makeup. But I am telling you: you have just got to try. Make-up adds some kind of glow to you.
‘Makeup’ in this sense means everything from some face painting to a good haircut (or hairstyle or wig) to perfect manicure and pedicure.
