How to Keep Up with Hygiene as a Busy Dad

by | Health & Wellness

May 15, 2022

If you want to feel better and keep all parts of your body clean and healthy but you don’t have a lot of time because you’re a busy dad, this article will help you achieve all that with some simple steps.

Have you noticed that you get a bit more irritated when you feel sweaty when you look around the house to find dirty dishes or clothes? This happens because improper hygiene doesn’t only affect your physical health. It affects your mental health as well.

As a dad, to stay healthy both mentally and physically, you have got to keep up with hygiene. This can be a bit of a problem when and if you are very busy. But don’t worry about it much. These ten tips will show you how to keep up with hygiene as a busy dad:

1. Wake Up Early

This is going to change your life. Not just your hygiene. I mean, your whole life. Waking up early means you would have enough time to go through the rest of the day.

You don’t have to spend late mornings rushing in and out of the bathroom, struggling with ties, cleaning shoes, or hitting your feet against the door frame. No, you will go about the day at your own pace, doing everything carefully.

Waking up early doesn’t mean you have to starve yourself for the necessary hours of sleep. Sleep for at least eight hours a day.

2. Your Teeth

I tell you what. Oral hygiene cannot be overemphasized. No matter how busy you are. You have got to brush your teeth. The best time to brush your teeth is as soon as you wake up. Once you have said good morning to your spouse, walk right to the bathroom and grab a brush.

Brush from up to down and then down to up for about five minutes. Target plaques on your teeth, and make sure to dislodge them. Floss, too, and brush your tongue for a sparkling and fresh breath.

3. Your Armpits

There are areas of your body that are warm and collect a lot of sweat. The armpit is one. I will talk about the other later.

An armpit that is bushy is going to mess up your clothes; because when sweat collects between all that hair, there is going to be a patch. Shave as often as possible. You can shave when you are just about to take your bath.

You should choose your shaver carefully. A number of shavers can injure you, and others can make you develop reactions like shaving bumps. I recommend Manscapedâ„¢ The Lawn Mower 4.0. This portable machine is one of the best trimmers out there. It comes with replaceable ceramic blades, is waterproof, and has a wireless charging system.

The battery is a stunning 600mAh, and an indicator tells you about the battery life. The Lawn Mower 4.0 goes easy on your skin. So, no bumps.

The Manscapedâ„¢ performance package 4.0 comes with the following useful features:

  • The Lawn Mower® 4.0 All-new SkinSafeâ„¢ electric trimmer

4. Down There

You don’t only have to shave your armpits. Shave down there too. A bushy groin area is going to expose you to jock itch, a fungal infection that thrives in warm, damp areas of your body.

Shaving down there is definitely easier with Manscaped™ The Lawn Mower 4.0 described earlier. You reach just about anywhere with the adjustable blades—even your balls. And you don’t injure any skin!

5. Clothes

As a busy dad, you may not have that much time to wash your clothes. But this is fine. You have got options. If your children are grown and willing, you can have them wash your clothes.

But if they are not, you can just send your clothes over to the laundry. You shouldn’t wear dirty clothes no matter what—especially dirty underwear, pants, and singlets.

The Lawn Mower® 4.0 also comes with a free Anti-chafing boxer and travel bag included in the package.

6. Dishes

At home, there are going to be times when you will have to step in and help in the kitchen. With the dishes, I mean. This is what makes you a family man. Do this happily and not grudgingly.

It is healthy to wash your dishes as soon as you have finished eating. Let’s say you have just finished a cup of coffee; rather than just leave it there at the table, how about you go wash it off?

Do this with every meal you take, and you will have yourself a kitchen shelf full of clean plates. It’s more pleasant.

7. Shoes and Socks

Lots of people don’t pay much attention to their socks and shoes. You shouldn’t be one. As a busy dad who plans to keep up with hygiene, be sure to wash your socks every day and polish your shoes as often as possible. Polish your shoes whenever they are covered in dust plaques.

8. Beards

Of course, beards. As a busy dad, you should never be too busy to make your beards look good. Good beard hygiene also comes with its fashion benefits. You get to look effortlessly stunning.

Shave your beards whenever you find the need to. Some people find it needful to shave their beards when it begins to itch, others when it starts to get lumpy, and all of that.

Use a good trimmer to work your beards. The Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0 is the perfect pick! You’ll have a smooth beard that beats your expectations, and that’s a promise.

9. Other Hair

Do you, by any chance, have hair sprouting from your nostrils? Those are not bad. But I have to admit, they don’t look so good. You might want to remove them.

If you do, I have just the trick for you. Use The Manscapedâ„¢ Weed Whacker, an electric nose hair trimmer that is portable, safe, and very easy to use. It has a durable battery and can be recharged.

10. Make it a Routine

It would be best if you make staying hygienic a routine as a busy dad. Routines make life easy; they make it easy for us to keep up with stuff for long, even when we are busy.

Designate a particular time of the day to do your hygiene—bath twice a day, in the mornings and then in the evenings. Brush your teeth with a routine as well.

This is going to make both work and life easier for you.
