To get your phone back up and running, you will need either a MacBook or PC. (go to an Apple Retail Store or Mac reseller to use one of their computers)
- A USB‑C Digital AV Multiport Adapter or a Lightning to USB cable
- An iPhone Charging cable that you will use to connect to the adapter.
Follow the steps as described below very carefully to fix “iPhone is disabled. Connect to iTunes.”
You should connect your iPhone to a MacBook using a USB‑C digital AV multiport adapter and your iPhone charging cable to enter recovery mood. The method you’ll use will depend on the model of the iPhone you’re using.
If you’re using iPhone 8 or more recent iPhones
- Press and hold the right-hand side button and one of the volume keys.
- Then wait for the power off slider to show on top of the screen.
- Turn off your iPhone using the slider.

- While still pressing the side button, plug your iPhone into the USB‑C digital AV multiport adapter, which connects directly to your Mac.

If you’re using iPhone 6s or previous versions
- Press and button (on the right side of your iPhone) and wait for the power off slider to show up.
- Turn off your iPhone
- Press the home button of your iPhone
- While pressing the home key button, connect your iPhone to the MacBook or PC

Locate your iPhone on your MacBook/PC
Depending on the software running on your Mac or PC, the next step of the process will be to open the Finder window or iTunes app on your Mac or Pc. In most cases, it will automatically open by itself as soon as you follow the instructions given above. However, depending on the system you’re using, you will either find your iPhone on the finder window or the iTunes app.

The other way to restore your iPhone is to use iCloud. Should in case the other method outlined above does not open your iPhone. But you can only use this method if you have “Find My iPhone” enabled and if your iPhone has an internet connection. Then you’re good to go.
To use iCloud to Fix ‘iPhone is disabled. Connect to iTunes’., on your system browser, go to iCloud.com/find, and Sign in to iCloud with your Apple ID and password. Then select your iPhone device from the list of all devices. Finally, click erase the device. That’s it. See the screenshots below.
