When I went to Rome, Italy, I knew I had to visit one of the most iconic buildings in the world – the Colosseum, or Coliseum. As I approached the oval-shaped theater, I was in awe of its grandeur and size. The structure was built of travertine, tuff, and brick-faced concrete. It was the largest amphitheater ever built.
Located just east of the Roman Forum, the Colosseum was a sight. As I walked through the arches, I imagined the gladiators and the battles that took place there centuries ago. It was a surreal experience to be standing in such a historic and iconic building.
The Colosseum is a must-see destination for those planning a trip to Italy. It is open to tourists every day except January 1st and December 25th. And Italy has plenty of other exciting tourist destinations to explore as well. But for me, the Colosseum was a highlight of my trip and a memory that will last a lifetime.
2. Varadero Beach | Cuba
Varadero Beach in Cuba is one of my favorite destinations in the world. The moment I set foot on the white sand, I was mesmerized. The clear aqua-warm water and the beautiful sandy bottom were breathtaking. The beach is also well-organized, making finding a perfect spot for relaxation easy.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy, like kayaking, floating on water inflatables, and even taking little boat trips. But what I loved most was just sitting and watching the surf as skydivers and paragliders added to the excitement.
I walked for miles, swam in the lovely shallow water, and felt the warm sun on my skin. I could have stayed there forever; a week’s round of this beach will leave anyone in awe.
Varadero Beach truly is one of a kind.

3. Taj Mahal | India
The Taj Mahal is a masterpiece of ivory-white marble located on the south bank of the Yamuna River in the Indian city of Agra. It is a true architectural wonder that attracts tourists from all over the world.

One of the most exciting things about this museum is that it houses several world-famous objects, such as the Egyptian mummies and the Rosetta Stone. The permanent collection comprises around eight million works and is among the most comprehensive and vast.
What’s more, the British Museum’s collection was widely sourced during the era of the British Empire. If you plan to visit, the museum is open every day from 10 am to 5:30 pm and on Fridays until 8:30 pm.
5. Europa Park | Germany
Europa Park is the largest theme park in Germany, plus the second most popular theme park resort in Europe, following Disneyland Paris.
The park is located between the Black Forest and the Vosges. Many tourists go there to enjoy the wonderful excitements offered by more than one hundred attractions and shows.
In addition, more than 5,5 million people from all over the world visit the park each season.
There are lots of rides for every age. Moreover, you can find some of the world’s fastest roller coasters in the park. Summer season opening times: 9 am to 6 pm, and winter is: 11 am to 7 pm.

6. Angkor Wat | Cambodia
Angkor Wat is one of the top excellent destinations in Southeast Asia. It is a temple complex in Cambodia and one of the largest religious monuments in the world.Â
This beautiful destination is a must-visit when you go to Cambodia, especially because of its amazing temple. You will learn about the history and great architecture of the past.
When it was built, it served as the capital of the Khmer Empire, which ruled the region at the time. The word “Angkor” means “capital city” in the Khmer language, while the word “Wat” means “temple.
You will find some of the most iconic sights in the world at sunset and sunrise. It is one of the most ancient seven wonders of the world. Visiting hours are 5:00 am – 6:00 pm. Always carry your ticket. Tickets are checked upon each park entry and at major temples.
7. Mauritius | Beaches
Mauritius is an Indian Ocean Island nation known for its beaches, lagoons, and reefs. The mountainous interior includes Black River Gorges National Park, with rainforests, waterfalls, hiking trails, and wildlife.
Some fantastic beaches you will definitely enjoy there are Belle Mare Beach, Ile aux Cerfs (Island) Beach, Riviere des Galets Beach, St Félix Beach, Gris Gris Beach, Flic en Flac Beach, Tamarin Beach, and the Le Morne Beaches. You can decide to come to Mauritius at any time of the year.
8. Eiffel Tower | France
A wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. The Eiffel Tower was completed in 1889.
This colossal landmark is now a famous symbol of French civic pride. You will enjoy a visit to this exciting place.
The Eiffel Tower is open every day of the year. Except for certain holidays that extend or reduce admission times, regular hours of operation from early July through late August are 9 am to 12:45 am.
9. Brandenburg Gate | Germany
The Brandenburg Gate is an 18th-century neoclassical monument in Berlin, built on the orders of Prussian king Frederick William II after the successful restoration of order during the early Batavian Revolution.
The Gate is decorated with reliefs and sculptures. Gottfried Schadow designed them, and the majority of them were based on the exploits of Heracles. It’s usually open between April to October: 9:30 am to 7:00 pm, and November to March: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
However, the Brandenburg Gate has now come to represent German unity and freedom since the end of the Cold War and divided country.
Among all the numerous tourist destinations in Germany, this one holds great “symbolic value” for Germany. Also, rejoicing Berliners gathered at the Gate to celebrate the fall of the Wall.

10. Tropical Islands | Germany
The tropical theme park is located in the former Brand-Briesen Airfield in Halbe, a municipality in the district of Dahme-Spreewald in Brandenburg, Germany.Â
It can be a getaway for the whole family: relaxation, children’s fun, and fabulous activities going on all year round.Â
The Tropical Islands Resort is open all year round, including public holidays. In addition, overnight guests can use the Tropical World facilities 24 hours a day.
It’s another exciting tourist destination if you are looking for somewhere to spend the summer.
11. Acropolis | Greece
One of the most beautiful tourist destinations to visit is The Acropolis. It is the most famous site in all of Athens and one of the most famous ancient archaeological sites in the world. This large hill lies in the city’s center and contains a cluster of ancient ruins.
Furthermore, the Acropolis is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens. It contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance. The most famous is the Parthenon.
It opens between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm every day. In addition, the term “acropolis” means “high city” in Greek. Also, it can refer to one of many natural strongholds constructed on rocky, elevated ground in Greece.
